More Information on Dania Beach Boat Explosion
Yesterday we blogged that six women were injured in a boat explosion in Dania Beach Saturday morning. Now more information about the incident is becoming available.
Local10.com reports that the incident occurred at about 11:45 a.m. when six women boarded a vessel that was docked and fueled. When they turned the boat on apparently the ignition trigger a vapor explosion. Contrary to other published reports, Local 10 reports that the vapor explosion extinguished itself and the boat did not catch fire.
