Mercedes Benz Recalls Nearly 40,000 Vehicles Due to Major Defect
Luxury auto manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 40,000 vehicles due to a defect that can cause the automobiles to suffer an increased risk of crash.
ConsumerReports.com reports that the defect can affect small cars and SUVs, causing the front axle to erode potentially leading to failure. Front axle failure can significantly destabilize the vehicles, leading to impaired steering ability and increased chances of a crash.

As of now, Mercedes is recalling approximately 38,312 vehicles, including A-Class and GLB-Class models.
Mercedes has not reported any crashes or injuries related to the defect.
