Mercedes-Benz Launches Worldwide Recall of Nearly 1 Million Vehicles
Auto manufacturer Mercedes-Benz issued a recall for almost 1 million vehicles due to a defect that could affect the vehicles’ brake system.
TheGuardian.com reports that the wide-ranging recall affects SUV models ML and GL and R-Class minivans which were manufactured between 2004 and 2015. According to Germany’s federal transportation agency (KBA) “Corrosion on the brake booster can in the worst case lead to the connection between the brake pedal and the braking system being interrupted.”
The defect could cause the brakes to stop working.
The article did not indicate whether there had been any reported crashes or injuries related to the defect.
