News: Man trying to flee from police crashes into van in Boca Raton
BOCA RATON, FL – A man attempting to flee from law enforcement crashed into a van in Boca Raton on Saturday, Boca News Now reports.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Detective was trying to serve a warrant on Adonis Batista on SW 66th Avenue for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Authorities say Batista locked himself in his car, refused to respond to the detective and fled the scene. He ended up slamming into a parked van a few blocks away on SW 65th Way.
Batista then tried to get away on foot but was apprehended by police in a nearby backyard, officials said. He was released on bond after being taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
