Man Charged In Connection With Personal Watercraft Death
Authorities have charged a Miami man in connection with a collision that killed another man near Key Biscayne.
The Miami Herald reports that 50-year-old Jorge Rodriguez Del Rey is charged with actions that occurred after striking 26-year-old Alcides Andres Yagues, including leaving the scene with a fatality, failure to render aid, and failure to report to law enforcement. As of now authorities have not charged Del Ray with any charges directly relates to colliding with Yagues, the Miami Herald reports.
On Saturday, May 1, a 37-foot boat carrying 9 passengers collided with the personal watercraft that Yagues was piloting, severely injuring him.
First responders transported him to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he later died.
