Man Arrested Months After Girl’s River Raft Death in Hillsborough County
Florida officials arrested a man Tuesday, months after he struck and killed a girl riding on a river raft in Hillsborough County.
WFLA.com reports that at approximately 7:00 p.m. on May 17, 40-year-old Andrew Miltner crashed a boat into a raft carrying two children on the Alafia River. The crash resulted in one of the children, 12-year-old Jasina Campbell, going underwater. The party with which she was traveling was unable to locate her and called authorities for help.

Campbell’s body was later recovered by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office dive team.
The other person who was with Campbell in the raft was transported to Tampa General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
