The move is likely the result of persistent lawsuits alleging that talcum powder contributes to the development of ovarian cancer and mesothelioma.
Though Johnson & Johnson insists that research has deemed talc powder safe, the company has seen waning demand for its talc powder products in light of the lawsuits.
The company says that it will replace talc powder products with similar products made of cornstarch.
