Holland America Cancels a Sailing Due to Ship Propulsion Issues
Holland America has announced that it is canceling a sailing because one of its ships is suffering from propulsion issues.
CruiseHive.com reports that the company plans to take the Nieuw Amsterdam ship out of service and send it to Grand Bahama Shipyard in the coming weeks. This will necessitate the cancellation of the ship’s previously scheduled sailing on February 1, 2020, which would have seen the vessel embark on a 7-day sailing to Key West, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and Half Moon Cay.
The ship will undergo repairs to its azipod propulsion system.
