Family Searches for Two Men Who Went Missing at Sea
A family is searching for two men who went missing while sailing from Key West to Guanaja, Honduras.
Local10.com reports that 51-year-old Christopher Bush Sr. and his 69-year-old cousin Dionisio Sanchez left Key West on Many 5 but suffered engine troubles on May 8. The travelers’ families have not heard from them since.
According to Christopher Bush Jr., the family is searching frantically for the men. Their last known location is about 133 miles from Guanaja.
The family has asked the U.S. Coast Guard for help, but because the men went missing in Caribbean waters the Coast Guard has apparently told the family that it would not be able to help much.
Christopher Bush Jr. has also contacted authorities in Honduras for assistance but has been met with limited help.
