Davie Couple Recount Harrowing Moments A Car Crashed into Them As They Exited a Convenience Store
A woman and her boyfriend are lucky to be alive after a vehicle struck them as they exited a convenience store Wednesday night.
WSVN.com reports that Maura Schrews and her boyfriend Jonathan were exiting the America Latina Market along Davie Road when a vehicle crashed into the front door of the market, striking the couple.

Surveillance footage of the incident shows the devastating impact of the crash, caused by 23-year-old driver Michaele Joseph. Apparently, Joseph mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake, causing her car to jump the curb and crash into the market.
First responders rushed the couple to HCA Florida University Hospital. Schrews suffered a contusion to her head and severe injuries to her finger. Jonathan suffered a cut elbow.
