Cruise Ship Passenger and Friends Banned from Royal Caribbean after Dangerous Stunt
A cruise ship passenger and his friends have been banned from Royal Caribbean Cruise Line after the man posted a video of himself leaping from a cruise ship online.
27 year old Nick Naydev jumped from the 11th floor of the Symphony of the Seas ship, which was docked in Nassau, Bahamas, as his friends watched.
Naydev says that he had no idea how big of a deal his stunt would be. He told a Miami area news station “My idea was this would be a good laugh for my friends and I would just swim back to shore and continue my vacation and never thought this would be this serious.”
Naydev estimates that he fell up to 100 feet into the water below. He was not reportedly harmed in the incident, but he could have easily been killed. He did say that he hopes his antics do not inspire anyone to copy him, saying “I just hope I don’t inspire anyone to try this, because I don’t want to feel responsible for any injuries.”
