Coast Guard Airlifts Man from Cruise Ship Off New Jersey Coast Due to Medical Emergency
The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted a man from a cruise ship off the New Jersey coast, published reports indicate.
6ABC.com reports that the Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas called the Coast Guard for help on Saturday night when a 70-year-old passenger was suffering from abdominal pains. The ship’s authorities determined that they could not provide the victim with the level of care that he required, and decided to call for assistance.
After the Coast Guard spotted the ship off of Little Egg Inlet, it sent a helicopter to evacuate the victim and his son to a local hospital where the victim received further treatment.
