California Man Dies after Diving Off Boat to Catch Football In Florida Keys
A man died after jumping off of a boat while attempting to catch a football on Saturday.
OrlandoSentinel.com reports that the 46-year-old victim, Liam John Daly of California, apparently dove face-first into the water while attempting to catch the football while on a boat in the Florida Keys. Daly was on a commercial pontoon boat with Salty Bottom Charters at the time of the incident.
Following the accident, which occurred at around 1 p.m., Monroe County first responders transported Daly to Lower Keys Medical Center, where doctors later pronounced him dead.
Authorities continue to investigate Daly’s death.
