Authorities Locate Pair That Was Reported Missing Near Fisher Island
Two people were reported missing after a dinghy on which they were riding was found unoccupied near Fisher Island.
A Good Samaritan found the dinghy and called authorities who then initiated a search for the pair. According to WSVN.com the search involved Marine units with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the US Coast Guard.

Officials later discovered that the pair had already disembarked from the dinghy and that it had floated away in the morning tide after breaking loose.
According to the Coast Guard, the dinghy’s occupants were later found safe on land.
