7 Hospitalized – Including 5 Chidren- In Jacksonville Crash Involving School Bus
Several people were hospitalized following a crash involving a school bus on Friday.
News4Jax.com reports that a total of 7 people were hospitalized, including 5 children and 2 adults, following a crash Friday morning. The crash involved a school bus and another vehicle and occurred at Pearl and Bay street.
Authorities believe that the two vehicles collided at the intersection, sending both the bus and the vehicle careening off the road in opposite directions. The car crashed into a fence, leaving one of its occupants trapped inside. Rescue workers were able to extricate the victim and transport the victim to the hospital in serious condition.
Another adult and five children were also injured in the crash and transported to the hospital with relatively minor injuries.
In all, there were 13 children on the bus at the time of the crash.
