Man Loses An Arm and Part of A Leg In Blast At Lauderhill Junkyard
A person was severely injured in an explosion at a South Florida junkyard on Monday.
WSVN.com reports that the blast occurred at about 10:30 a.m. at a junkyard located near Northwest 31st Avenue near 17th Court in Lauderhill.
Apparently, the victim was attempting to remove the brass From a cylinder tank when it exploded. “I was working right next to him, and he took a cylinder tank off his truck and hit it with a hammer, and it blew up, said Marlo Clark who witnessed the incident.

Following the powerful explosion, first responders transported the victim to Broward Health Medical Center. The blast cost the victim one of his arms and a part of one of his legs.
The report did not indicate whether the victim was a worker at the junkyard or a visitor.
