Man Dies After Being Struck On Sunny Isles Bridge And Falling Into The Water
A man fell from a bridge after being struck by a vehicle in Sunny Isles late Friday night.
Local10.com reports that the collision occurred at about 10:15 p.m. when the victim began experiencing car troubles. The victim pulled over on the 163rd Street bridge and began to search for the cause of his car problems. As he was reviewing his vehicle’s engine another vehicle struck him, catapulting him off the bridge and into the water below.
First responders rushed to the scene and began to search in the water for the victim, using both a helicopter and boats.
At about noon on Saturday police revealed that they had found the victim’s body, but had not released his identity pending family notification.
Authorities believe that the vehicle that struck the man was likely a white Maserati, and the victim was likely driving a black Ferrari.
