Man Accused of February Cruise Ship Sexual Assault Continues to Await Justice
Brian Holland continues to await his day in court after he was charged with cruise ship sexual assault last month.
23-year-old Holland is charged with having sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman as they sat in a hot tub aboard the Carnival Elation cruise ship in February. The woman, who is mentally challenged and reported to have the mental capacity of a 12-year-old, reported the assault to her guardian after it occurred. She said that Holland began to touch her as they, and other passengers, were sitting in a hot tub aboard the ship.
The complaint against Holland says that the victim moved his hand after he began touching her, but that he then entered his hand into her bathing suit and penetrated her.
Upon examination, cruise ship doctors found abrasions in her genital area.
Holland was arrested after the ship docked at Jacksonville. In a late March hearing he plead not guilty to the charges against him.Man A
