Investigation Underway After Fort Lauderdale Man Dies in Crash
A Fort Lauderdale man was killed in a crash in Davie on Tuesday.
Local10.com reports that the 61-year-old victim was driving an SUV westbound on State Road 84 at about 5:30 p.m. when his vehicle crashed into a crash attenuator. The vehicle “swerved towards the painted gore and struck a crash attenuator with its front. After impact, the vehicle overturned and came to final rest facing east on the entrance ramp to westbound I-595,” Florida Highway Patrol said.
The victim died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no one else was reported injured.
The factors leading up to the SUV’s swerving and crashing remain unclear. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
