A Broward Sheriff’s Office report concluded that “Lahiani drove off the roadway several times and into the gravel construction area,” in the moments leading up to the collision.
On Tuesday authorities arrested Lahiani and charged him with one count of DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI crash with property damage among other charges.
The victim initially survived the collision but eventually succumbed to his injuries on October 27.
