Florida Woman Arrested in Connection With Hit-and-Run Death of Local HS Football Player
A Florida woman is under arrest after a hit-and-run crash killed a promising Miami football player.
WSVN.com reports that 23-year-old Maria Rodriguez struck 17-year-old Miami Southridge High School football player Justin Rivera while he was jogging in the area of 152nd Street near 127th Avenue.
Rodriguez fled the scene instead of remaining as is required by Florida law.

First responders attended to Justin at the scene, but he was pronounced dead.
Authorities located Rodriguez and placed her under arrest in connection with the incident. She has since posted bond.
