Fifth Person in a Month Killed by Brightline Train
A Brightline train has killed at least 5 people over the past month, with the fifth victim coming on Tuesday.
Local10.com reports that a Brightline train struck a pedestrian at about 7:50 a.m. in Boynton Beach.

There were no additional details immediately available relating to the crash.
Brightline has been involved in over 50 deaths previous to Tuesday’s fatality, giving the train line an extremely poor safety record.
The Local 10 report says that Brightline has the worst safety record of the approximately 800 U.S. railroads since 2017, when Brightline began operation.
