Banking Executive Dead After Jumping From Boat to Assist His Girlfriend
The son of a Venezuelan billionaire is dead after he jumped from a fishing boat in an attempt to save his girlfriend.
FoxBusiness.com reports that 31-year-old Juan Carlos Escotet Alviarez and his 30-year-old girlfriend Andrea Montero were aboard a 60-foot vessel for The Ocean Reef Clubs Reef Cup 2022 fishing tournament off the Key Largo coast when the tragedy occurred.

After Montero fell overboard the report says that Alviarez jumped in the water to assist her and was struck by the boat’s propeller, fatally injuring him.
Alviarez was director of Banesco USA, an affiliate of the Venezuelan bank by the same name.
