Audi Recalls Nearly 300,000 Vehicles
Carmaker Audi is recalling nearly 300,000 vehicles due to a defect that could cause the engine to spontaneously switch to emergency mode.
Consumerreports.org reports that Audi is recalling 288,991 Q5 SUVs because one of the control modules inside of the vehicles is susceptible to liquid, which can cause the module to turn off. When the module turns off it will cause the engine to go into emergency mode, increasing the likelihood of a crash, Audi says.
