Boat Fire in Dania Beach Leaves Two People Hospitalized
A fire engulfed a boat at a Dania Beach marina on Wednesday, injuring two people.
Local10.com reports that the crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. near 399 Lewis Lane when a boat caught fire. Apparently, the vessel caught fire while undergoing mechanical repairs. There may have been an explosion as witnesses reported hearing a loud sound just before noticing flames and smoke.
Two people were hurt and hospitalized in the incident, with one of the victims reportedly having suffered significant burns.
Authorities are still not clear as to the cause of the fire and an investigation is underway.
