Authorities: Hit-and-Run Suspect Hid Victim’s Body
Yesterday we blogged about a man who allegedly struck and killed a teen who was jogging in Miami-Dade. Now, authorities are alleging that the suspect hid the teen’s body after striking her with his car.
#UPDATE – Police have released the mugshot of 60-year-old Jose Fimia, the man accused of killing a 16-year-old girl in a hit-and-run on the 79th Street Causeway.

Local10.com reports that 60-year-old Jose Fimia allegedly stuck 16-year-old Dayana “Diani” Gomez Sanchez as she was jogging last weekend.
A witness says that on Saturday, May 15 a vehicle struck a person at about 8:43 a.m. and then sped away on Northeast 79th Street. Police say that before leaving the scene Fimia attempted to cover up the crash, hiding the victim’s body in bushes nearby.
Authorities arrested Fimia on Friday and are charging him with many charges including vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash.
