Authorities: Teen Struck by Vehicle Near School Bus Stop
A teen was struck by a vehicle near a school bus stop in Winter Haven on Thursday.
BayNews9.com reports that the collision occurred at Avenue G NW, near 22nd Street NW. Apparently, an 18-year-old male motorist was driving westbound on his way to work when he struck the 16-year-old girl as the car approached the school bus.
The victim, a student at Winter Haven High School, was seriously injured by the collision and authorities transported her to a medical facility by helicopter.

Though the victim suffered serious injuries, doctors do not believe that they are life-threatening. She is expected to make a full recovery.
