Cruise Captain Charged in Death of Passenger Killed by Propellers
A yacht captain has been charged in the death of one of his passengers.
Last month we reported on a story in which a man was mortally wounded after being struck by the propellers of a yacht on which he was a passenger. Initial reports indicated that the victim had fallen from the vessel, but subsequent reports indicate that the victim and other passengers were swimming when the captain engaged the ship’s motor.
CBS Miami reports that the captain of the vessel, Mauricio Alvarez, has been charged in the death of the victim. It is also claimed that Alvarez does not have a license to pilot the vessel.
