Woman charged with leaving scene of Boynton Beach car crash
DELRAY BEACH, FL – A woman was arrested after authorities said she fled the scene of a crash in Boynton Beach Wednesday night.
Boca News Now reports 50-year-old Brooke Ellis was involved in a crash on the off-ramp from Interstate 95 to Boynton Beach Boulevard. The Florida Highway Patrol said troopers ordered her into a parking lot to investigate but she took off.
After a police chase, troopers said Ellis collided with a dumpster and a fire hydrant shortly before 9:30 p.m. Ellis, of Delray Beach, was arrested and charged on multiple counts, including DUI, driving on a suspended license, and hit and run — leave scene of a crash involving damage to property. She was released from jail on $1,000 bond.
