Two-Year-Old Child Drowns in Swimming Pool of Pompano Beach Apartment Complex

A child drowned in the swimming pool of a Pompano Beach apartment complex on Saturday.

WSVN.com reports that the tragedy occurred Saturday afternoon at an apartment complex located near the 400 block of Southeast 15th Street.

The report does not give the circumstances surrounding the child’s death but does indicate those first responders, including Broward Sherriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, responded to the scene and attempted to resuscitate the victim.

The child was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Broward Sherriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
