Two Hospitalized Following Boat’s Collision With Draw Bridge
Two people were hospitalized following a boat crash on the Ortega River Friday night.
News4Jax.com reports that six people were on board the boat when it attempted to cross under the Ortega Bridge as the draw bridge was coming down. Apparently, as the boat’s driver attempted to cross under the bridge the boat did not make it under the bridge in time. The boat and the bridge collided, causing significant damage to the boat.
A friend sent me these pics of a bad boat accident on St Johns River. North of Ortega bridge. Says it clipped a bridge, hit a dock, full speed hit boat ramp and flew through the air. @ActionNewsJax working to get more info. Hearing there are injuries. pic.twitter.com/5IqbgTniBZ
