Toyota Issues Recall For Defect That Could Cause Wheels To Roll Off
Automaker Toyota is recalling dozens of vehicles due to a defect that could cause their wheels to roll off.
CNN.com reports that Toyota is recalling 260 BZ4X model vehicles for the defect and has advised drivers to stop driving them immediately.
“After low-mileage use, all of the hub bolts on the wheel can loosen to the point where the wheel can detach from the vehicle. If a wheel detaches from the vehicle while driving, it could result in a loss of vehicle control,” Toyota said https://t.co/1OXOJFR2jN

The reason for the recall is a defect that could cause bolts on the wheels to loosen, allowing the wheels to roll off while the vehicles are in motion.
The report indicates that Toyota is not yet sure how to fix the defect.
The report did not indicate if there had been any crashes or injuries stemming from the defect.
