Report: Cruise Voyage Delayed due to Medical Emergency
Travel website CruiseHive.com reports that a Royal Caribbean cruise ship had to delay the last leg of it voyage today, after someone aboard the ship suffered a medical emergency.
The Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas cruise ship was forced to make an unexpected emergency stop in Nassau, Bahamas as it traveled back to Bayonne, New Jersey. The ship was originally scheduled to arrive on May18th, but will instead arrive on May 19th reports Cruise Hive.
In addition to the ship’s current sailing, they delay is expected to affect the ship’s next scheduled sailing, pushing its May 20th voyage back to May 21st. Royal Caibbean will reportedly compensate passengers, including paying airfare for those who will be forced to miss flights due to the change.
The report did not indicate the nature of the medical emergency that diverted the ship.
