Report: Carnival Cruise Line Pulls Out of Antigua and Barbuda- More Cancellations Expected
Published reports indicate Carnival is pulling out of Antigua.
The website NationNews.com reports that Nathan Dundas, the president of the Antigua and Barbuda Cruise Tourism Association (ABCTA), announced the company’s departure, but did not give a reason for the decision.
He did announce that “ all four ships booked commencing next season November 2019 to 2020 – Breeze, Magic, Legend and Pride will be going to other ports. He added that he is afraid that we may see more cancellations and it is indeed cause for concern as these cancellations will impact everyone business from store owners to tour operators and bars and restaurants etc.”
He added that he expects additional cancellations from other major cruise companies.
