NHTSA Looking Into Tesla Auto-Drive Related Crashes
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating automaker Tesla relating to crashes involving Tesla vehicles. In particular, the NHTSA is looking into whether Tesla’s autopilot system may have been responsible for multiple serious car crashes.
CNBC.com reports that all Tesla vehicles come equipped with the Autopilot driver assistance system, and the company also offers a “Full Self Driving” upgrade for about $10,000, or as a separate service costing $299 per month.
