News:3 hospitalized in Miami accident involving Publix 18-wheeler
MIAMI, FL – Police and emergency crews were at the scene of a crash in Miami Friday morning involving several vehicles, including a Publix 18-wheeler truck.
According to WPLG, the collision occurred in the vicinity of Northwest 37th Avenue and Northwest 7th Street sometime before 7 a.m.
Two pickups were involved in the crash with the tractor-trailer, police said. One passenger in one of the pickups had to be extricated from the vehicle. That person and another injured victim were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center. They were reported to be in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the semi-truck was transported to the same hospital, and was listed in stable condition.
The accident shut down Northwest 37th Avenue to Northwest 39th Avenue and Northwest 7th Street to Northwest 9th Street.
