News: Woman dies after being struck by vehicle in Miami-Dade County
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – Police said a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Miami-Dade County Thursday morning, according to WPLG.
The incident happened near the intersection of Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 72nd Avenue at about 6:30 a.m.
Police said the victim was walking across Northwest 36th Street from south to north when she was hit by a 2005 Ford Ranger. The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.
Officers investigating the crash said speed was not believed to have been a contributing factor. Anyone with further information about what happened was asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
The westbound lanes on Northwest 36th Street from Northwest 72nd Avenue were closed for the accident investigation.
