News: Woman dead after being hit by Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Police and firefighters responded after a woman was hit by a Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale Monday morning, NBC Miami reports.
The victim, reported to be a woman in her early 70s, was struck at a railroad crossing at 100 Northwest 6th Street at about 8 a.m.
She was pronounced dead after being transported to Broward Health Medical Center. The woman’s identity has not yet been released.
Authorities are investigating the fatal incident.
