News: Woman charged with crashing into Miami Beach home, leaving scene
MIAMI BEACH, FL – Police say a driver who crashed into a Miami Beach home and then left the scene was taken into custody, according to WPLG.
22-year-old Haley White, an Illinois resident, was driving an Audi when she hit the front of a home in the area of West Avenue and 14th Terrace on Monday night, police said. Witnesses reported seeing a woman get out of the car and walk away after the incident. White was later located on Bay Road following a search by police officers, who said she matched the description of the woman being sought.
White was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash resulting in property damage.
According to police, the property damage caused by the crash amounted to about $10,000, including damage to a city light pole struck by the car.
