News: Victim of Lighthouse Point crash identified as FAU instructor
LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL – One of the victims of a deadly crash in Lighthouse Point last month has been identified as a teacher with Florida Atlantic University, according to a report by WPTV.
This is an update to a previous story.
38-year-old Justin Waldron was killed Jan. 23 when his car was hit from behind by another vehicle as he was stopped for a traffic light at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Northeast 49th Street. The other driver, 34-year-old Dana Raymond, also died in the crash.
Waldron, a native of Fort Lauderdale, was an instructor in FAU’s Department of English. Waldron’s mother said he was on his way home from visiting his sister when the accident occurred.
Florida Atlantic University said Waldron had been an instructor at the school since 2013. Flags on campus will fly at half-staff in his memory on Friday.
