News: Victim identified in fatal Fort Lauderdale pedestrian crash
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Authorities have identified the victim in a fatal pedestrian accident in Fort Lauderdale last week.
This is an update to a previous story.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the man killed was 45-year-old Kris Krofka. Detectives say he was hit by a semi-truck Friday near South Federal Highway and Southeast 30th Street outside of Port Everglades, sometime before 6:46 a.m. Krofka was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital. The driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit is investigating the collision.
