News: Thousands left without power in Miami after SUV slams into pole
MIAMI, FL – A car accident caused a power outage in a portion of Miami Sunday morning, WPLG reports.
Authorities said the driver of an SUV crashed into a power pole near Southwest 6th Street and the vehicle became stuck on a tension cable.
The woman driving the SUV was extricated by rescuers and was not injured.
The incident left thousands of Florida Power & Light customers without electricity, and repair crews were dispatched to the scene to restore power to those affected.
