News: Teen on bicycle fatally struck by minivan in Pembroke Pines
PEMBROKE PINES, FL – Police said a teenage boy riding a bicycle was hit and killed by a vehicle in Pembroke Pines on Monday afternoon, WSVN reports.
Investigators said the driver of a minivan was leaving Westfork Plaza on Pines Boulevard and preparing to turn right when she struck the 15-year-old, who was dragged about 30 yards under the vehicle.
Emergency crews managed to lift the vehicle to extricate the teen and transported him to Memorial Regional Hospital, but he was pronounced dead of his injuries.
There was no immediate word on whether any charges would be filed in the case.
