News: Sheriff’s office employee and passenger killed in Palm Beach County car crash
WELLINGTON, FL – Two people died when their vehicle was involved in an accident in Wellington Monday night, including a civilian employee of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
According to WPEC, Robert Ehrenberg was assigned by the sheriff’s office to the records department at the Palm Beach County Jail. Authorities said Ehrenberg was driving a Kia Soul on Forest Hill Boulevard at about 9:39 p.m. when he turned left at the intersection with Guilford Way and entered the path of a BMW 328i.
The BMW struck the Kia on the passenger side, causing it to flip over. Ehrenberg, a West Palm Beach resident, and his passenger, 58-year-old Gloria Ludwig of Mangonia Park, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW and her passenger, both 17-year-old girls, sustained minor injuries and were transported to Palms West Hospital.
