News: Search underway for driver who hit pedestrian on I-95 in Hollywood
HOLLYWOOD, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol says a pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday morning.
The incident took place on Interstate 95 south near the exit for Hollywood Boulevard, according to WPLG.
The FHP said the pedestrian was struck by one driver who fled the scene afterwards, then was hit and dragged by another vehicle. The victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A search is underway for the first driver involved. The vehicle sought was described as a BMW two-door coupe.
Anyone with further information was asked to call Florida Highway Patrol or Broward Crime Stoppers.
