News: Scooter rider struck and killed in Miami by driver who left scene
MIAMI, FL – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident in Miami that killed a man riding a scooter.
According to WSVN, the victim was struck by an SUV Friday morning while riding in the area of Northwest Eighth Avenue and 2nd Street.
Police and emergency crews arrived on the scene, and the man was pronounced dead by paramedics. His name was not disclosed.
Police said the driver who hit him got into another vehicle and left the scene afterwards, leaving the SUV behind.
Anyone with information about the crash was asked to contact Miami Police or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
