News: Police searching for driver in deadly Boca Raton hit-and-run
BOCA RATON, FL – Police in Boca Raton said a pedestrian died after being struck Wednesday morning by a hit-and-run driver.
According to WPTV, the victim was crossing Glades Road near Interstate 95 at about 6:30 a.m. when they were hit by a Nissan Rogue. The pedestrian’s body was found in the street by a passerby who notified police.
The driver is believed to have fled the scene going west on Glades Road. The vehicle was described as a light-colored Nissan Rogue, a 2008 to 2014 model, with likely damage to its front headlight and bumper. It was captured leaving the scene by a surveillance camera, police said.
The westbound lanes of Glades Road were closed for about three hours near the scene for the crash investigation. Anyone with information about the driver was asked to contact Boca Raton police.
