News: Police looking for driver who struck 71-year-old bicyclist in Delray Beach
DELRAY BEACH, FL – A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Delray Beach Sunday morning, WPEC reports.
According to police, 71-year-old Barry Simon was riding his bicycle on Barwick Road near Barrett Street when he was hit by a vehicle that has been identified as a 2014-2016 Hyundai Genesis.
Simon was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but no details on his condition were released.
Police said the driver left the scene after the crash. Investigators are trying to track down the vehicle, which is believed to have front-end damage including damage to the wheel housing.
