News: Pembroke Pines woman fatally struck by sedan on I-75
PEMBROKE PINES, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol said a pedestrian was killed in an accident on Interstate 75 early Sunday morning.
According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the victim was a 33-year-old Pembroke Pines woman who was walking on the inside shoulder and a lane of I-75 just before 2 a.m.
She was struck by a northbound sedan driven by a 45-year-old man. After the woman was hit, the driver of the sedan slowed down and the vehicle was struck from behind by a sport utility vehicle.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead after being taken to Memorial Regional Medical Center.
The drivers of the two vehicles and their passengers all sustained minor injuries. The crash is under investigation by the FHP.
