News: Pedestrian struck, killed by train in Deerfield Beach
DEERFIELD BEACH, FL – A woman died after she was hit by a train early Wednesday morning in Broward County, reports NBC Miami.
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at Southeast 4th Street and South Dixie Highway after the incident was reported just before 4 a.m.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was found dead at the scene near the tracks.
The crash is under investigation by BSO traffic homicide detectives. Florida East Coast Railway and Railroad police have also been contacted.
